Girl’s Books

Read, Read, Read

I adore old books. I especially like that I can read so many of them online, for free. There are several online resources for free books. Some of the most prolific are  Project Gutenberg (PG), the Internet Archive (IA) and Google Books (GB). You can also find free audiobooks online in places such as Librivox.  Here are a few collections that I’ve organized for my own reading. I’ll be adding more as time allows. We are a wealthy society that has so much free reading material available at our fingertips.

  1. You can also borrow e-books for free from Openlibrary.org.

  2. If you have a local library who participates, and you have a library card, you can also borrow ebooks from a computer, smartphone, or tablet using Overdrive. We often borrow expensive audiobooks this way, and it doesn’t involve a trip all the way to town, or late fees.
